I replaced the timeing belt on my 95 gst. The car sat for a little while before i could get to the belt. When i changed the belt and tried to start the car only one cylinder had comppression. After tinkering with it i got the comppresion back in all but one cylinder. I can figure what the problen could be. I figured the ring might have gotten stuck, so i oured some oil in them and it made two of them free up. But the last one wont do anything.

the car idles rough up to about 2k rpm but once over that it feels normal. I drove it and it feels like its running on 3 cylinders until about 2k rpm, then it pulls just as hard as always. Im really confused. Please help.

thanks, josh

You said the pistons had zero compression after you changed the belt right?

Then you dumped in some oil and it jumped up?

If so that points to rings obviously but that doesn't make sense as I dont see how it could go from running to having no compression even if it did sit for a while.

How long did it sit?
