Compressor wheel contacted housing, ruined?

Long story short, the retaining ring on my hx35 popped off while doing a pull and the compressor housing popped off the CHRA about 1/4-1/2 inch. Upon removal the damage wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and I am wondering if I can just get a new balanced CHRA and reuse the compressor housing. The turbo was freshly rebuilt with less than 100 miles on it, and after this occurred has a very tiny side to side play and zero in/out- if that matters for anything.

I'm not a turbo guy specifically but I am a machinist and I wouldn't feel bad about running that housing as long as wheel has been replaced and any high points knocked off. It isn't ideal but the clearance between the blade and the housing isn't "that" tight anyway. A few thousandths deep scratch shouldn't affect it greatly.

I would say you would be alright to run it but you will lose a very slight bit of efficiency. I was in a bind this year when just before a private track rental day my HX40 really let go, like bad bad lol. It chewed into the housing and wore the compressor wheel down pretty good. I had a rebuild kit at home so I rebuilt it and ran it at the track day, and actually still running it on the street. I lost about 400-600rpm spool time but I was ok with that to get me through the summer and I will have it totally re-done over the winter. Ill dig up some pics for ya.
