Just finished retrofitting some Hella 90mm projector lights into my stock housings. Still not done with getting the beam pattern as best as it can be. Also included pics of the HID in the stock housings. I didn't realise that our stock reflectors were pretty damm good, so for those of you who just wanna go with HID in stock housings, you will be quite pleased at the results.

looks cool man.. i like the orginallity. I plan on just going HID in aftermarket projectors. Also, how come u didnt take out ur orange piece when u had your headlights ripped open? were they hard to take out/apart? Also, while we're on the subject of headlights.. i know this is kind of ricey, but has anybody seen the halo style ones (like on the new bmw 5 series) They make them for other cars now, but i'm not sure about ours.

The orange piece can be removed easily but i like the way it look so i left it in.

Angel eyes wouldn't work on our cars, for one, we have rectangular lights while bimmers have round ones.

Mine are not HID Hellas. I have normal halogen hellas and i swapped the halogen bulb with my HID kit. The projectors alone are $60-69 each.

Yes, i had a 9006 HID kit, then i installed the Hella halogen projectors, took out the halogen bulbs and modified the Hella mounts to accept my 9006 HID kit.

I love my HID kit.... i have em in my CBR... the diffrence over the stock bulbs are night and day.... i want to put em in the eclipse but my headlights are a little foggy and bleached out... so i think i will wait until i get the projector housings.......

Anyone see those new HALO ones that they are making for the hondas..... i dont know if i like them or not.....

My friend is geting some angle eyes for his Golf GTI and he also has clear/alteza fronts and rears and he is painting the reflective stuff (not the projectors, everything but thoes) the same color as his car. They also make some that aren't solid, the are half on half off in stripes, thoes are the ones he wants, they look real nice though I don't have link to any pictures of them.

The hellas come in H7 and H9. no 9006/9007.

In the pics you see, the hella front housing has been removed due to space constraints. The brownish ring you see is the internals of the unit. I didn;t use any mounting brackets. Just 3 bolts secured to the stock reflector housings.
The original hella housing has mounting flanges and the unit comes with 3 adjustable bolts for aiming purposes.

Since i mounted the hellas into my stock reflector housing, the aiming is done using the stock controls.

Sweet. This should be a sticky for those that want the stock look with their headlights, but also want projectors. Maybe even for the 92-94 guys to think of something :D

I have a 92 and just ordered a HID light system for a BMW which I am going to use in my 92 AWD black laser for my regular lights :D :D :D

who makes projectors? what companies? i want to know if they will make a custom order for me or maybe start making some?

I have NO idea what these 4300k D2R bulb is going to do in these stock housings or where this extra light is going to go

Maybe I'll just have to change my name to obnoxious lighting or something when I'm done

280 dollars on ebay. 20 dollars shipping. I will send the money order out this friday for them.

I'll get some pics out ASAP for my fellow 1g owners :)

anyone know of xenon projectors that can be very easily put into a 92-94 houseing to work with D2S/D2R bulbs?

I dono if you'd have enough room to do the Hella projectors in a 92-94 light housing.. they're not as tall as the 2G lights.

I have HIDs in my stock 92 headlight housings and they kick ass. I see no need for projectors! ;) They're not obnoxious at all either... the beam pattern is great... I'll have to get pics of it one of these days (and maybe pics of the car too? damn I'm lazy).
