I like the TR&D performance wise but I can not stand the tip. I was thinking of cutting it off and replacing it with either a biger tip or most likelly dual tips. I was wondering if that would affect the performance of the exhaust. I dont see how, but let me know.

Bigger outlets

I know its been said but anything bigger than a 5" would look rediculous. I have the thermal and the 5" is just about right.Dual 2.5's might be nice, but I went out and took a look at mine before I stuck my foot in my mouth with writing this. I dont think its possible to go duals on there unless they are super short tips cause the muffler canister itself is on an angle.Either that or they would stick out pretty damn far.

I am talking about the TR&D for the 1g. Its supposed to be 4" but from what i seen its more like 3", thats why i want to maybe go bigger. The 5" from a 2g is the perfect size.

IMHO, anything over a 4" tip is getting ricey. Not trying to offend anyone, just throwing out an opinion. I've got dual 2.5" tips and they look good, not to mention adding to the sleeper look of my car. But hey, sleepers aren't for everyone, and if you want a lettuce-launcher that's cool. :D Honestly, if the muffler was made for a single 4" tip, I don't see a good way to fit dual tips on it. A larger single tip shouldn't be a problem, though.

I have Thermal for the 1G and the 4" tip is really 4" and it is too small. The 5" is probably perfect. Two ways to get dual tips are 1, to figure out a way to drill the muffler and weld on 2 tips, which would be a pain in the ass, if it is possible. Or to buy on of those tips that mates 2 tips that expand off a single tip, and then weld that on. I would go with the single 5". But when I do it I am going to scrap the entire thermal muffler and throw on a round ultra flow with one of those 5 or 6" super short stack tips.
