If I cut the Check Engine light wire to my ECu will the check engine light go off and will there be any problems at all.

Might not want to do that

Cut the wire? The check engine light is there for a reason; it tells you that you need to "check your engine". If you have removed your catalytic converter then your check engine light is probably due to that. You can buy something to splice into your O2 sensor wire that will cause the O2 sensor to return the proper voltage reading. After installing these you will have to reset the codes to make the light go away and if that is the ONLY problem with your car then the light will not come back. If it stays on then you need to do some more research. The item you need to buy is made for mustangs who have duel exhaust systems, and are sold in pairs, but I heard that the company was informed of DSM owners problem and now sells them by themselves.

MIL Eliminators

I'm interested in the Milelimator. I want to know which one you guys purchased for the dsm 2g. I have a 95 OBD II and the site says that they don't have a specific one for my application, and that they would not warrenty the one I chose. So which is the one?

Here are their options...

MIL Eliminators-Factory Single Exhaust
1997 Ford Probe
1996+ Passenger cars, Trucks and SUV's

MIL Eliminators-Factory Single Exhaust
Subaru WRX and 2.5 RS

MIL Eliminators-Factory Single Exhaust
Mazda Protege 5

they are all the same price. I'm planning on getting a test pipe. I also found this site but I'd rather purchase one ready made..

Thanks as always.....

You can buy the capacitor and resistor for maybe a buck.

Soldering to your o2 sensor harness takes about 10 minutes. It takes longer to get the o2 sensor off the car than it does to do the actual mod.

Or you can buy a pre-assembled one for 15 bucks, and you still have to pull the o2 sensor to solder it in. I really don't see the point in buying the same stuff for 15 bucks and not saving any time.

Just use this diagram and make your own.

Well as I posted I rather have one ready made and since two guys have purchASEd this Mil Eliminator I just wanted their advice on which one was the one they have on their cars. That site with the diagram I have along with detailed instructions on how to solder it on and everything. So if you guys happen to catch this part of the post, can I get your advice.... thanks

yeah maybe you are right..... I didn't think of it that way..... Just thinking of diodes, capacitors and resistors blinded the real truth....that I still have to solder.... I do have the solder iron and the wire for it..... thanks for responding and showing me the light. Sometimes thinking I could just buy something ready made blinds the truth that its the same either way. You've been a big help........
