no one knows if the 7 bolt crank is different from a 1g to a 2g? I need to replace mine for installing new bearings and found a 7 bolt crank but its out of a 2g 7 bolt engine. Need answers asap. thanks
they are interchangable, but the 2g cranks are horribly built, i wouldn't even think of getting it. They are possibly a cause of crankwalk. IT is not proven yet whether it was that or the squirters. Some may disagree though. I would just try to find a good 1g 7 bolt crankshaft to save your self the hassle down the road.
good point. But at this point finding someone with a 7 bolt 1g crank that hasnt been in a spun bearing situation FOR sale is hard to find. And for $60 for a crank im all in. But my 1g is 100% stock and clean. Just need a good crank
so can I get a 95 turbo crank 7 bolt just to get the laser up and running again. its 100% stock and is just a daily driver nothing crazy special. Not looking ot play with it anymore just need it running and driving
Just do like he said just get your crank you have now cut and over sized bearings to match.
Cant go wrong that way.
