direct access 3D maps FTW :)

quoting the makers:
although the main windows remain as they were on a v2, for fine tuning you can now make also adjustments for different driving conditions (read - more streetability)

i can not even imaging how much that is going to cost.
Add about $150-$175 to the current cost, there abouts, Thats for the upgrade for V2 guys. Straight out v3 I dont think will be more than $75-$100 or so more. ( dont quote me, I am pulling this out of my ass )

That looks soooooo nice. I'm definately waiting for V3 (and I have been for about a year, but no big hurry).

I'm a software developer, I'd offer to help them test and develop if it meant a faster and better release.

they're in the final stages of product finishing, so its much too late for that now :)

So you aren't going to need a EPROM ECU on the 1G's for V3 of the Link? If this is the case, I may just get another Non EPROM ECU for my car instead of upgrading...
Not necessarily. That "feature" is probably an option but I don't know if it will be readily available with the V3 release.

as I understand it, V3 will be available with the non-eprom ecu platform to make it work.

However, those who have an eprom ecu, will still be able to take just the chip, no change there.

the thing for the non-eprom ECUs is like an adapter.

I'm so happy now!!!! My Christmas will also be happy!!!

This is GREAT news!!!!
I haven't looked this up yet but since this is a "new" product, I hope they have an upgrade price from dsmlink v2. I don't want to pay the whole price.
