I live in Silver Spring, Maryland. and there are about 15 of us that I know of who represent most of the DSM population in my area.Anyways only good place where I knew you can hang out is in MD is Glen Burnie, MD, it used to be in front of the pep boys. I think they moved it to somewhere else, cuz of the "youngans" came and messed it up.
there is also "METRO" and "V-Street" we try to go sometimes to represent the DSMers =)

Maryland DSM Yahoo Group

Well, I've posted before that I'm moving up to the Frederick MD area in the first weekend of the new year. I've been troling around the internet and have noticed quite a few DSM's in the MD area but no tightnit group. There isn't ANYTHING to pull these people together as a whole.

To aleviate the problem I have created http://groups.yahoo.com/group/maryland_dsm, it's a yahoo group dedicated to DSM's in the MD area. Hopefully we can get a network together to help each other out in times of need.

I'm currently putting up a homepage for the Group and would like to see some pics of DSM's in the MD area to use on both the website and as the intro image on the Yahoo Group. Anyone and everyone please feel free to offer advice and/or help. The website will look something like this: http://members.fortunecity.com/dyezak, that is my personal site but I abandoned it to put this MD site and group together.

Hey I think dyezak has a good idea because CADSM really isn't a "tightnit" group of people. We should start a racing team/car club, I think it would be tight to get some exposure(like TEAM NABR has) and some respect as a team/club for having some nice(ok some aren't so nice:')fast cars.

I am on the CADSM list, but as gst_spyder said, it's huge, and anything but tightnit. There is a good resourse in the CADSM list, but not what I am looking at doing with the MD_DAM list. Plus the CADSM list is spread out over a couple states, I really want to keep this a close list so that if anything happens to anyone else's car we can be prepared to help, and also if there are races in the area hopfully we can go as a group and represent DSM's in a more unified manner. Have you people seen how the LS1 guys come up to a Import/Domestic shootout...impressive. If we could get the same kind of group together for DSM's (again, like the HDSM, AustinDSM, and DFWDSM groups) I would be satisfied. Again, this is ment to be a tightnit group, but I'm certianly not chaseing anyone off.

what up dyezak, i'm really happy to see that you are getting maryland DSM under way. like i said import specialists will do whatever it can to see the club progress. i agree with th comment about CADSM, it's not tight nit, in fact it's very clicky. i know many MD dsmers that aren't apart of cadsm for that fact.

I'm in MD myself. I'm in college park, and often in the rockville/silver spring area. I see a few DSMs occaisonaly at barnes & noble in rockville if any of u know where it is. I used to be on the CADSM list, but it was a bit broad and there were small groups of people that knew each other off the list. I'd really be interested in a more closely knit MD DSM club/team whatever. dyezak your site idea looks cool

Newbie in MD

Just bought my 91 GSX last week after totalling my baby. Locals into street racing may know me from Northern Parkway. I had a black 92 Probe GT and a white 89 Probe GT. Both upgraded turbos, one with standalone management and supporting stuff. I live in Hampstead, but am in Owings Mills and Towson a lot. I work at the Tweeter in Glen Burnie as an installer (but not right now due to my broken arm from the accident). Just picked up the 3" turbo back from Extreme this morning, and have an AFC and 2G airmeter, Profec B....blah blah. Can't even install the gear yet, as I only have use of one hand till the other heals. Always looking to get together to shoot the $hit, talk trash, race etc.

Northern Parkway

If you are coming from North of Baltimore city, take I-83 south and exit at Northern Parkway (about 10 minutes South of 695). Bear right at the end of the ramp. Go 3-4 mile approx, and turn into the shopping center at the intersection of Northern Parkway and Wabash Ave. You will see Wendy's at the intersection. If you get to the Crown, you went too far. If we aren't there, keep going down NP to the end (less than a mile. Make a right on Liberty road, and go a few miles. We will be in the parking lot of Salvo auto parts, and the Shell gas station. Thirdly, if all else fails, continue on Liberty road, and get on 695 West toward Glen Burnie. Take 70 South to the Park -n- Ride. You should find us in one of those spots Saturday nights after 11:00. Shoot me an email, and i'll give you my cell.
