Hey guys, I did alot of searching and found no info on this anywhere.
I was wondering If anyone has had any expieriance running a exhaust cut out on there car. A DMH Performance cut out to be exact http://www.dmhperformance.com/ecutout.htm
Im currently completing a 1g daily driver/sleeper build and I thought it would be a fun and effective upgrade for when I want to get on it. Runs about the same as Apex-i 3' Cat Back, $200. The car came with a new high flow cat and twin loop muffler which runs and sounds clean so dont want to replace it, especially since im going for the daily driver sleeper thing.
Would there be any negative effects on the motor?
Thanks for the input.

I have a 3" HPE electric cut-out on my 1g AWD. I took it to a muffler shop and had them install it on my Apexi N1 down pipe. There is really only one place on the AWD down pipe that it can go. I have been running it for over a year no problems. Im on KYB AGX and a pro kit with this setup it does stick down kind of low and you WILL NOT clear speed bumps and have to keep a sharp eye out for dips and such. Also the exhaust dumps a little too close to the fuel lines for my comfort so I would either build a heat shield for the lines or run the downpipe they sell seperete. I recommend the HPE kit it seals and has held up very well.

Awesome! Thanks for the info dsmetal and cAPSLOCK.
Metal do you possibly have a link to the downpipe they sell seperate? I cant seem to find it. Did it affect any of your fuel maps/af or anything wierd when tuning?
I would love to see some photos/movie on your 1g with E-cut out installed dsmetal!
