Fidanza cam gears and cam position sensor?

Ok so Ive got Fidanza cam gears and I have a 95 GSX with a 7 bolt in it. I was looking at the stock cam gear and there is a metal plate on it that looks like it is used to trigger the cam positions sensor. It looks just like the one for the crank angle sensor.

My question is do I need to remove the metal plate on the stock cam gear and put it on the Fidanza cam gear so that the car will run properly after it is installed? If so what direction does the plate need to be facing (if the engine is at TDC) because there are 2 opening on the plate and four screws that go into it and there are various ways the plate would go on there.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

So then I do need to put that plate thing on the cam gear? Ok then what position does it need to be in. There are 4 screws but the way it would send the signal could only be 2 posible positions. The plate looks like a cirlce with 2 cutouts in it like the one for the crank anlge sensor plate does. Which directions would the openings need to face (towards the exhaust and intake or towards the sky and floor) ?

Ok so I pulled the Fidanza Cam Gear off and there is a slit for it to slide in so there is only one way to go in there. Nice to know in case anyone else was considering these cam gears and had the cam position sensor that it located on the intake side by the cam gear.
