I am installing an 818 and where the bracket holds it in place is sitting about 3 inches higher than the stock filter. Does anyone else have this issue? I was going to just make a "U" shape bracket to compensate unless there is a better way, thanks.

I didn't bracket mine in. I had no problems with it just sitting on the hard line.

Im sure you can push the fuel line down a little. I looked at this same thread last week LOL. But didnt want to bump up an old thread and get flamed

I dont have the original insulating clamp and was wondering if it does actual goes in place of the original OEM filter clamp

The kit bracket has narrower mounting holes than the factory bracket. This means you either have to find a way to adapt it, use only one mounting hole, or use something else. I don't like the idea of using the tube to keep it in place, that will probably end up with a fatigue crack in the tube.

For height adjustment, I just pushed the filter down and let the tubing bend some. I made sure the tubing wasn't clamped nearby so it would be able to flex more and not kink.

Thanks to sleeper7 for this picture I found from 2007. Just need to figure out what he used for a sleeve. I need something similar to a fuel pump sleeve. Any ideas?
