So i just bought a Teal DSM and its in need for an overhaul of a paintjob. Paint on this car looks hideous and is fading in some of the black spots. So ive been debating what color to paint it. My choices so far have been a mettalic blue or super black. If anyone has any other ideas for colors throw them out here. One thing, i am not interested in white at all so that option is out.

I'm a big fan of blue and black. Most recently I have been thinking of painting my car the Lexus gunmetal color. Real nice looking.

Faded nasty 15yo teal paint is pimp? I'd say keep the color if it was in perfect condition but that's not the situation. I vote for a nice deep blue

I meant keep the color, not the current paint job so that you wont have to jam it. A nice deep blue would look great especially with teal door jams, engine bay, inner hatch, it would all compliment it nicely, wouldnt it? I would only do a color change if I had the car stripped and then painted the whole body but thats just me.

agreed, stay with the teal, it will cost less to get it to look good all around... i have seen some cars where they didnt jam it, and it looks horrible and tacky... please dont do that to a dsm...

There is a 2G on Ebay right now.....Bright metallic burnt orange with white jams all around.

The color itself is bad enough....the white jams make it worse.

Unless you are going to jamb it, stick with the original color.

no im going to do the door jams plus the trunk area. as far as the engine bay it seems im going to have to keep that the way it is because of how hard it is to redo the whole body. Personally i hate this teal color and its got to go so im looking to any alternative.
edit: o yea i was also going to do a single color throughout instead of the stock two tone with black for roof and wing and teal for the rest, the color i choose will go throughout.

Sorry about jacking your thread... but you cant paint it black...

You can't paint your car black because I AM! Mine was teal and then became primer and is still in primer... im blocking the entire car and finding sooo many more dents :( but i should be done soon I hope... here are a couple pics :)

When it was teal...

haha Stennet85 we can have twin cars. Too bad mines practically stock right now. At least your original teal paint didnt look nearly as bad as mine currently does. I know i have more dings on this car than i care to count but ide rather have a dinged black car than a faded teal tortoise.

I would definitly choose the 350Z Daytona Blue. That color is sex.
I second that opinion, Id go with that color looks amazing. The black looks real good too but IMO I dont think it shows the body lines to well.
