I believe you will have the same problem with the 98s as the Talon headlights were the same for all 2Gs.

 

I believe I have deciphered what you are saying. Took some work.

All talon lights are the same. The same as lights from a 95/96 Eclipse. If you swap to the 97+ lights on any Talon you will have the gap in the center.

 

Agree with Greenstreak.

The 98 Eclipse lights are chopped in the center bit and leave a gap. However that gap can be filled from the bumper side to give stock appearance. Also as far as I understood from the owner, the fitment needs re-drilling of some bolt holes as it does not match the Talon headlight bolts.

Untrue, the headlights for all 2g's have the same mounting points and will all bolt on the same, no modification. The 97-99 Eclipse headlights will leave a gap as you said though.

 

then it was just an issue with these specific lights since the bolt holes did not match and had to be re-drilled.

 

its true for the headlights i off some lights on my 96 gs and put on a 97-99 headlight with some halo's projector lights ...that is why i asked this question if they would fit on the 98 talon ................

the fog lights dont bolt to the same pattern tho i didnt understand that
