I was just outside rotating the wheels, and snap! Snapped the spline on the key for my lock nuts. They are the McGard lock nuts and tool.

I bought the car with the aftermarket rims and lug nuts already on, so I dont know where to get them.

Can I just buy the key tool only?
Where can I find it?? I need it ASAP!

This is what I have on my car now (from their website):

You can also pound a socket on the wheel lock and turn it with a long ratchet or an impact if you have the room.
1+ on that.

Another option is to find a Snap On truck. Snap On sells an impact socket specially designed for removing lock lug nuts without the key. It's basically a socket that you would pound on there, but it's a little different. It's like round and tapered with notches to grab the lug. If you don't want to buy one, call a few different local garages and see if they have one.

The only socket I was ever to use to get my locking lug nuts off was a 12 point, nothing else beat on there. That is also the same method a bunch of tire shops use to get it off, I ended up having to weld something on the the rear locking ones because they seemed to be put on by the hand of God.

As almost every mechanic will tell you in that situation is : get a bigger hammer. LOL. I always use 6 points as they tend to be more snug. But once again I always use a 48 oz snap on hammer to pound it on there. Oh and an Ingersoll Rand 1/2 dr Ti 1000ftlb impact to take them off.
