from what iv read on the net some say they have 140 just like us models but i found one that says 180 so i dont realy know i wish some one could tell me for shur

 

well I have one in my car, that why I'm curious, I just bought it today, and it runs great.. it has a little pep in its step if ya know what I mean, but I doubt its 180, but the guy that had it before him, said he's raced a Z24 with some work done to it and he said he bet it, so I know those are around 165 but I little heaver then the eclipse

 

Our stock 4G63 N/A here in Germany/Europe got 150HP.The Compression is higher then US-Spec.

 

The stock 2.0 4g63 engine has 135hp. I have also heard the talk of another motor in europe putting out 165, and from what i have read, that is false. But the fact is, you have 135hp. When i had my non-turbo talon, i did also race a z24 cavalier, and got beat, and got a better launch than the z24.

 

well this isn't totally stock either, it has a 4-2-1 header, a straight threw ex 2.5 inch, an intake, and I've just install turbo cam today just for the shits and gigles of it, I had the parts laying around, why not!!!! also this is just a beater car so I'm not plaining on doing some turbo or crap like that. it also has lowering springs, and stiffer struts, also some kind of engine mount upgrade, I know the thing has no wheel hop at all.. so that does all play a part.. I have a friend with a Z24 so I'll have hit him up, but I do know this I just smokes a 2000+ RS eclipse, and I know when I had my RS eclipse I raced a z24 and I had a hard time beating them, they were a littler faster, and I just took an eclipse by 1 1/2 car length, so hell I don't know..

 

According to your profile you have a 91 Talon TSi, which means it's turbo. I'm assuming this is another car? From what I've read/heard the jdm spec 4g63's have the same old 135hp

Yeah I haven't updated the profile yet, I just bought it three or four days ago, the talon is a project car since my brother didn't do the work right.. He put a non-turbo bottem end, with a shaved head, 5 angle vavle job, and ported head, so the compression was really high, and he boosted 14psi!!!! = blown head gastkets lefted and right..

Well after some research on JDM Mitsu Galants based on 4g63 found this:

'89 Galants - 4g63 145HP 174TQ motor with 9.0 Compression
'90-91 Galants - 4G63 160HP 186TQ motor with 10.4 Compression
'89-91 Galants tuned by AMG - 4G63 170HP 191TQ motor with 10.4 Compression

As for Turbo it's 210HP which is a well known fact.

I guess once I do a compression test I'll know for sure if it's got 145HP or 160HP.

I hope you guys know that a Z24(cavelier) is extremely slow. Their mid to high 16 second cars at best. No I am not talking out my ass my dad used to have one so I speak from experience. A non-turbo 4g63 should have no problem taking that pos down.
