I'm a Honda guy. Yeah yeah, booo all you want! I signed up to share my knowledge and learn from you guys as well, not to run my mouth on the Talons or any other vehicles. I enjoy reading some of the kill stories, especially the ones with Honda. What I don't get is that some of you Talon guys seem to be very cocky towards Honda. By all mean, I know a lot of cocky Honda guys too. They can be bitches, especially those kids with cheap muffler tips thinking that it added 10+ HP on their 1.6L engine. I respect the Talons because they are fast out of the box, response really well to mods, and the looks. Basically, this post is to let you guys know that a Honda guy has landed. I'm out.

P.S. I never race a Talon before so I couldn't tell you any story.

Wow! Thank you. You guys are nice. I drive a '99 Civic Si with moderate modications. Definitely not a fast one. Just saving up for major engine work right now. It will take me a long time to get my little 1.6L into the 13s. I know I'm gonna sound like a dumbass by asking this, but what models do the Talon come in? I know not all Talons are turbocharged. How could I tell if the Talon is turbocharged or not from the outside? I've been seeing this 2G Talon lately and always wanted to line up with him, but can't tell if its a Tsi or not. Either way, I will give any Talon a run just to see how fast they are. Knowing that I will get my ass handed to me if its a Tsi, its about fun and experience after all. I'm cool if beat by a fast car.

Great mentality...I share the same attitude! Racing is just fun...whether I win or lose.

As for the TSi vs NT Talons, the main way I know to know which one it is (other than badging) is that the NTs have one exhaust tip and the turbos have two (stock that is). Other than that, I'm not sure about differences. The 95-95 have mini spoilers and the 97-98 have larger spoilers but I think the ESi (NT) have them too.

I guess you'll just have to race the guy to find out.

cool welcome aboard...the best way to tell if it's a turbo if it's a 2g is to look at the exhaust the turbos have it on the left side and the nt's have em on the right side.

Welcome. I came here as a Mustang owner and now I'm a Talon owner. I still own the Mustang, but the Talon kicks its ass.

Talon TSi are turbo. TSi AWD are obviously the same car w/ AWD instead of FWD.

And if you didn't know, Eclipse GS-Ts are FWD turbo, GSX are AWD turbo.

With Lasers... I think Laser RS Turbo is the FWD turbo, and Laser RS Turbo AWD is the AWD/turbo model. If it's an RS, I don't think it's necessarily a turbo.

Oh, and I can't forget the Galant VR4s -- it's a normal Galant with AWD/2.0l turbo like the other DSMs.
