Yea i was just about to say that....thats what I need!!!!!

Well I give my usual disclamer that Im not a 2g guy....but you dont "need" it. If I remember correctly (im sure a 2gr will chime in and correct me if Im wrong) but the black top cas just gets rid of a CEL that you guys get when you do the swap.

I think you do need it because im doing the complete 6 bolt swap. Only way I see you wouldn't need it, is if you used a 2g head on a 6 bolt block.

Well what I was trying to say was that there are other CAS's you can use that will work (once again not 90 though) for the swap but the black top is recommended.

What other cars have this same cam angle sensor? I know plymouth, hyundai, and mitsubishi have quite a few swappable parts. There are no 90 eclipses at our junk yard right now, so could I make the CAS from a 92-94 work on a 90? JLAudio38 opted not to buy this car so Im going to pick it up. My tranny went out on the 'ol 1.8, time to move on to the 4g63:banana: Anyways, thanks in advance.

Well if the car is not getting any spark this might be the problem. It could be a few others also, coil pack, power transistor...If you have a spare bring it with.
Yes a 90 with a 90.you have to use a 90 CAS.... I think I have one laying around PM me if you need it.

You can use a 92 CAS, if you splice the wires. But if you don't really want to, just get a 90 CAS. There are plenty of people on here who will sell you a 90 CAS.

I was looing on SBR for one, they want over $300 for a new one, so just get a used one from someone on here.

Im going to get this later today so any help would be greatly appreciated!
pm sent. I'm alot cheaper then 300

Instead of splicing in the wires, you should make a pigtail for a 91-94 sensor if you can get the parts...that way you can just plug in the newer CAS or the older CAS.

The harness above would work something like this:
Car wiring : 90 Plug : -harness- : 91-94 sensor
now it's
Car wiring : 90 Plug : 90 sensor

There are 4 wires...DOUBLE CHECK THIS INFO, but I think it's...

90 info , then purpose, then 91-94 info:

90: White | Yellow | Black | Red
purpose: signal1 | signal2 | ground | 12v
91-94: White | sm.Black | lg.Black | Red
