I had to rebuild it like 3 times in 1 month, I know it like the back of my hand now A hammer and some wood and light tappin allways losens everything.

 

Hey were trying to remove the control shaft and there are two pins that are holding the assembly together. We cant seem to remove the lock pin. The spring pin is easy and is further down the shaft. The lock pin is the pin holding the control finger on there. It's the pin closer to the top of the tranny. It appears to be threaded but there is no hex head or anything else on it to lock into it, so how do you take it out? Thanks.

 

And none of the manuals say exactly how to remove this pin, they just say "Remove it" and that's it. Anyone know how to remove the pin? Is it threaded? It looks like it but how do you remove it since the top of it is flush with the shaft itself? Thanks

 

if we're talking about the same pin, all i did was drive it out. I used a dremel to grind an old scredriver to fit into the hole and drive the pin out by tapping on the screwdriver with a hammer. Don't quote me though i'm not sure if we're talking about the same pin.

 

It's the pin that is inside the area furthest from the spring. It's called the lock pin, the spring pin was easy... the lock pin is tough.
