Ok, just as the title says ants made nests inside my fucking fenders when I left it at my frat house underneath my car cover. I need to get them out, but I cant seem to get the fenders off. I have taken the two bolts off in the front where the fender connects to the bumper, then I took off all the bolts I saw in the wheel well, then the one inside the door hinge. Anyway, the fender is really loose now on the bottom, but the top just seems to be stuck to the car, and unwilling to move. Help me get it off.

Huh? Guess I didnt get that one. Anyway, I tried getting at them with a vacuum, but they just seem to keep showing up. I just want to make sure they havent made some crazy nest and there isnt a damn queen in there. This whole thing is so absolutely stupid. There was a moust nest on my drivers side from shock tower too. The damn thing was chewing away at my firewall and made a nest there. I seriously hope he didnt chew any wires, but from what I can see it doesnt appear that way. Hopefully I'm right.

barney was talking about getting the high pressure water sprayer at one of those "do it yourself" car washes (that take quarters) and blasting the ants the hell out of your fender. I'm not sure if you want to be spraying water in that area, but it certainly could work :)

You live far enough North that the actual ant colony with the queen is still probably in the earth. Certain species of ants will carry the larva and pupa to warmer places to speed development. I had them get into the phone box on the outside of my house. I'd get clicking when I answered a call. It was the ants shorting the lines. It must of been a thrill when the phone rang. :p

Spread some Diazinon granules on the ground where you park and you shouldn't have any more problems.

Those bastards are still there. I havent bothered to spray them with a high powered hose, but I have been consistantly killing them as I see them walking around. I took a long 100 mile or so drive today so I had a few bugs killed on my front end, and I went out today to get my backpack from the car, and there were swarms of them all over the areas where the damn bugs were splattered. God damnit I seriously am going to go crazy.

This is too much, ants building nests in your car and shit....don't they know that DSMs are not exactly comfort stations?

Drive yourself to northern canada. Park car outside overnight. Problem solved :)

Or you could try ant bait or diazinon ganules, or ant dust (wear a mask when you do this) and just cover that feder area with the ant dust....kills ants on contact, man, that stuff is cool.
