Find someone with a 2g none eprom ecu and switch them out and see what happens.

Im not 100% sure if 2g's have them though.

 

There is a fuse under the hood, I dont know which one but it is pink on mine. I blew the fuse driving in downtown Atlanta on my way to NOPI 2005 and thats EXACTLY what mine did. Fix the fuse and it should work.

no...i was jus wondering...i just got the thing few mos ago and never messed with them before...i found another guy that has an eclipse gst near me so im gonna try to see if he will let me hook my ecu in his if they match...

I know it seems simple, but i've just recently watched somebody replace all kinds of parts over a blown fuse even though "they were good". Check it with a meter, One could have burned somwhere besides the window. might as well be sure.

I will start with the car...97 Eclipse gst, i was runnin it through town doin fine, all of the sudden it died and came to a rolling stop...Prior to, it wasnt missin or makin any weird sounds...So far i have replaced the ICM, cam sensor, crank sensor, coil pack, plugs, wires...all the goods...I have fuel, dont have spark...I am wondering if the ecu is junk...any thoughts?

have you tested the transistor?

 

have you checked your timing belt? Make sure its still on there and in working order.

Transistor is part of the ignition system. Sometimes when you get no spark and your coil pack, wires, etc are good it's the transistor.. I have one laying around here too if you needed it.

 

are you sure your getting fuel....what have you done to know this? And how do you know you dont have a spark? Just curious as I would assume your not getting fuel....

 

Have you done a comprssion test? Are you getting any codes?

 

I havent done a compression test...The engine has around 10000 miles on it now and the oil doesnt have anything in it...I know i dont have spark cuz i removed a plug wire with an extra plug and held it to ground...ALL four plugs did not hit...when it broke down i had it on trailer and went to auto zone to see bout codes...it read none....
BTW if anyone is interested, the whole damn thing is for sale...I bought a honda!

well i did...they say it is the power tr unit...however i replaced it before while troubleshooting the car and it didnt help...although that was done before i found out my crank sensor was crushed...

Exactly what i said about 5 posts up....

 

If there's no spark, most likely bad coil pack (which you replaced), ECU (which you replaced), or a bad power transistor (which you did NOT replace yet). When the PR went bad on my 2G, it only ran on 2 cylinders. Swapped it out, and the car purred like a kitten.
