I was wondering, is it possible or has it ever happend when you have a leak or something throws off your injectors behavior for them to act like they are much bigger than they really are or much smaller then what they should be?

Not when their clogged or are faulty meaning that their max flow rate is 530 when it should flow 550. For some reason i have 550's, or thats what everyone tells me with the part number on my injectors. But when i try to dial them in using dsmlink they behave like 720's. I dont run into fuel cut or have any issues with them im just wondering if anyones heard of something like this.

what kind of injectors are they?...they could be possibly stuck open?

a guy on a forum told me rc 550's because i put up a code i saw on the injectors. d1151ba - was the number on all 4 injector. They arent the pintle style injectors. Their the disc/ball type, looking inside the injectors i see 4 small round circles put together in the shape of a square

did you contact rc with that part number? i dont know rc's part numbers...if they really are rc then they may be able to help you out with trying to diagnose your issue since it's their product..but to me it sounds like one or more could be getting stuck open

Did you get the car with DSMLink? If so, what's the default deadtime and global?
Default (on chip) for Denso 720s is -38/405 (global/deadtime) and -18/180 for RC 550s

That is close two what I have mine set up and I have 780s. You could have a partial clog in the injectors. You could have a pressure leak in your fuel system as well, in relation to this, does your fuel pressure drop as soon as you turn of the car? Most folks say their fuel gauges don't instantly lower to zero, but instead it gradually makes it's way to zero.

my cars fuel pressure slower lowers to 0, it doesnt drop instantly. I've taken the fuel injectors out and cleaned them on both sides, can the disc/ball type injectors still get clogged as easily as the pintles?

Im putting in a bigger turbo set up and swapped my 190 out for a 255 and thought about the injector problem i had before trying to tune it with dsmlink, i had the same issue while trying to tune/dial in my maf-t/safc tune months before i got dsmlink. I could never get either of them to run my car right having things set to 660 like the old owner had told me they were. I guess ill have to get them sent off and see whats the problem, anyone know of a cheap and quick shop to mail my injectors to to get them tested?

Im just hopping their at least 660's so i dont have to pay 200+ for bigger injectors. I got a scm6152e and plan on running some high boost on the street with a methanol injection set up.

crap, i have a maf-t on my car and all my knobs are set to 0. The base and aux is set at 0 which makes my meter think i have 430cc injectors. So when i set my global and deadtime it will be higher then normal. So now if i go back and set it to 450cc on my maft my numbers will come down a little right? On dsmlink i should set a maf-t to read 450's and not use the rpm wire correct?

You're ok, the translator needs to be set at 0 all the way across the board for DSMLink.
