I was thinking of getting a strut bar for my car. A few people have told me NOT to get one if my car isnt lowered. They said it would wear my tires and give me a harsh ride. Is this true? I didnt think there was any harm in a strut bar?

The only negative thing about mine so far in the 3 years I've had one was that you have to spend an extra 30 seconds to remove the one side to take out the battery. :D

I agree. I found that the car didn't squeak as much after my strut bar went on. Actually I have three...front upper, rear upper, and rear lower. The 2g is so tortionally UNRIDGID that when you go up driveways diagonally (so you dont hit the front end) the whole car squeaks. With my strut bars, it practically stopped.

get one for the front and for the back - they are cheap
Yes, some of them are questionably cheap-- I've seen them as low as $25 apiece. Any info on some good quality ones to get? I was gonna go with the RRE one, but it's like $100. If there's little difference in quality in the various brands, I'd go with something cheaper. But if it really is a "you get what you pay for" kind of thing, I'll cough up the extra dough for the RRE bar.

Some are too cheap, yes. But I got mine for like 35 to 40 dollars each...from Mach V. Like I said above, they practically eliminated the squeaking and flexing common to our unibody cars. Check them out, see what they have to offer. www.machv.com
