hey i got a 91 awd, was wondering if any one had facts/opinions of weather i need the cooler lines in front of the radiator or can i just take the line out of the reservoir and put it directly into the line on the side of the fender well?

any help would be appreciated.

Well the spelling could have been worse, He could have spelt whether, wether. Which wether being a castrated Goat/sheep. I think it will be ok. With you living in NY the climate is a little more temperate. It may be a problem down south; Anyone else to collaborate? OH yeah and matt, its spelt grammar :santa:

is there something i am missing? is there a gain from taking this off? why not just leave it where it is? just a question...

I've had mine off for a few months now with no ill effects. It gets in the way of any decent size FMIC, so it has to go. There is no performance gain from just removing it, but whatever floats your boat.

I would be concerned if doing autox or road racing with no PS cooler (for those applications I'd think about installing a different PS cooler anyway). For drag racing and/or normal daily driving, the PS cooler isn't needed.

oh, i can see that an ic MIGHT get in the way, mine went on with no problems, i just had to take the bracket off and let it wobble, seems like more work then its worth, unless its needed. oh well, i know when im bored, i start doin stuff just to do it too.

Well, I shouldn't say it gets in the way of "any" IC. It is a problem area with ICs that use buschur-style pipe routing (pipes coming through the front bulkhead on both sides of the radiator). The drivers side opening is pretty tight with the AC lines and PS lines. I've heard some people say they made the PS and AC fit, but I don't see how. I ended up tossing the PS cooler on mine (yes it still has AC).

oh, ic how that could be a problem, my IC is a dsm-performance top/bottom flow so the pipes are both on the passenger side. thanks for the info.

I had mine disconnected and ran back into that line for a year with no apparent issues.
My fmic and 2.5"piping uses the hole on that side of the radiator for the inlet pipe. The p/s cooler lines had to go to make life easier.
Then a year later I pulled the whole p/s pump, the rack and everything out. Oh yeah, manual steering rules.

Now that I posted my opinion and experience on your issue...

I think spelling and grammar are very important, whether some internet flunkies think so or not and starting shit along with 3rd grade comments because someone calls you out on grammar or spelling is backwards. If you can't use spell check or care then don't cry when someone calls you on it and don't cry when you don't get great responses. I might even nicely suggest that you try capitalizing your I's. Fuckin' A!

PS

You guys can go the cheap route, I'll do it my way. Anyone know what size SS line I would need to replace the power steering lines. Is it 6AN or 4AN?

Thanks
