Leaking radiator, how to fix?

A friend of mine has a leaking radiator endtank. It is leaking around the seam. I am guessing that this should be an easy fix, but the mechanic wants 200 dollars to repair it. Will this just take something like some sort of RTV type sealant to fix or what needs to be done? I am just curious and want to see if I can save her 200 dollars.

humm.. if its like a small leak.. or leaks.. my buddy bought some "pills" that seals it.. donno how long dat lasts..but its a cheap solution?
Its not something I recommend anyone doing to a car they value. This stop leak stuff coats everything in the cooling system and cuts down on cooling efficiency. And it likes to settle in places like the head were cooling is important or in the heater core where keeping warm is important.

That leak stop stuff will start coloring your engine bay witha orange-mud like color once the leak gets worse. Do yourself a favor and go to another radiator guy and see if he charges less. You can always take the radiator out and have him replace the end tank (he should charge less for that) and you do the labor; that will save her some money.
