I have a 98 tsi awd and I did a complete gear oil change this weekend, and now i have developed a leak. The transfer case is leaking fresh oil from somewhere on the top side ( i cannot see it). It is a constant drip, just wondering if it overflow or if i wrecked seals or what. It had no leaks before i changed the fluid. If it is seals how hard is that to do in your garage?

You probably just slightly overfilled the TC. Always better to overfill it, than not fill it back up like some Mitsu dealers do when they do a TC recall.
Two dudes have totalled their 3S AWD due to dealers not putting gear lube in the "new" TC and then it locks up on the road/interstate. I've read these stories on the 3S forum. The TC seals are fairly cheap and not that hard to install yourself. How old is your TC?
-Off topic- What color is your '98 AWD?

Is it oil or gear lube?
There is a rubber vent valve that looks like a small bulb on top of case, hard to see from under car. It will vent if overfilled, or leak if broken. it's glued on with RTV or rubber cement. I think its on top of the second section of the case behind where it the bolts go into the tranny. Look for the leak.
It also could leak where the driveshaft enters the TC. That seal will fail if the u-joint is bad.
There is a seal where the input shaft from tranny goes into TC, drip would be near front of TC, under starter.
