If they're aftermarket: go to a tire place and have them take them off.. buy a new set

if they're factory: go to the dealer and get a new key.

 

Seeing that you have aftermarket wheels, you probably have aftermarket lug nuts. Take it to a mechanic who has a set of wheel lock removers and he'll just impact them off. The only problem I can think of is that there might not be enough clearance between the lug nut/lock and the wheel to insert the lock remover onto the lug nut/lock.

 

If you know the company, you can contact them and get a number/key. We had the same problem and still knew the lug serial numbers and were able to get keys from the company.

 

This can be HELL. My buddy bought his 93 RX7 in california from a MORON. When got it back up here and we started modding it, we noticed that the guy before had welded the exhaust as one piece. one whol piece after the turbos.... what a dumbass. So he had it cut apart and had flanges welded on.

My friend as well lost his wheel key. We took it to mineke (sp?) do see if they could impact the locking nuts off. No luck. Then they tried welding a regular large hex nut to the lug. No luck. They had to freakin chizel the mofo's off with thier impact gun on all four wheels and put new studs on. The wheels are a LITTLE beat up around the hole, but not nearly as bas as what was expected, you have to be pretty close to even know it. the total was $432 in labor. Good Luck man...

 

I took a 12 point socket that was slightly smaller than the OD of the lock, hammered it on, and that worked. Managed to get 4 locks off that way.

 

Yea these were the wheel locks on the car when I got it, and it had aftermarket wheels to begin with, so I dont believe they are factory.

 

An RX7's exhaust is so hot that if you blow a gasket the leaking exhaust will act like a blowtorch and eat away at the flange. I got tired of replacing gaskets on one of mine and welded it up, because salvage yards wont sell the downpipes. They cant sell the cats so they torch the downpipes in half and toss em.
