I don't think the problem is fuel. I get fuel pressure almost instantly while starting. I am getting spark too, but I'm going to change out the coil and transistor pack for kicks.

Dude that's where I'm at. Just standing there banging my head on the edge of the hood. Lol

Ok guys, here it is..
Problem 1. My timing was about 10 to 12 deg advanced for base. Set that back to 5 deg.
Problem 2. My injectors dead time somehow got waaaay off. So I got that set right. I had to add about 500us of dead time to make it start nicely.
Problem 3. My battery voltage was dropping to low 9v, causing it to crank too slow. So I replaced that.

So all these together made for one hell of a trouble shoot.
Hope this helps someone in the future.

Later,
Bob.

I hate that.. I really do try to post my findings. There's nothing more anoying than hours of searching dead end threads.
Now off to troubleshoot the great world of SD!!

Well Red, here we go again. Just about track season and out of nowhere the hot start issue strikes again. I have done everything mentioned in this post again with no luck.
BUT I have figured out that I can add 900us of global dead time to the injectors and it fires right up. It just runs like hell above idle so I pull that back out once it is started and all is good.
So I would think it needs more fuel on startup. But I can go into SD and add fuel to the load cells where it's cranking and it does nothing. Along with using just the fuel sliders and hot start enrichment.
Still fires right up when it's cold.

The only changes from when I started this post is I'm running all SD, Wally feeding a 044, and a lot more boost. ;)

Any new ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Bob.

I don't see how it could be a fpr. I have 43psi upon cranking. I can prime the pumps using link running full pressure before I even crank it over. Still no change

Well I went back out and played with it some more today. I fired it up and let it get to operating temp. Started great cold. Once it was warm (180) I shut it down and immediately tried to start it, not even a sputter. I reached over and added 900us of dead time and tried again. Fired right up, I then zeroed dead time and it runs fine.

WTF batman?

Anyone? Is this just a setting in ECM link??
