Well just like the title says, I'm looking for mesh for my intercooler. I'm personnally am not a big fan of the stuff, and kinda think it's ricey. However, I need something to protect my intercooler for everyday driving and to help hide a hump in the lower part of the mouth on the front bumper(the front fascia piece is twisted somewhere but I can't seem to get it straight enough to take it out). So I'm just looking for a company to get with to get maybe a roll or already prestamped/pieced together. I've looked but there already pre made pieces for 95+ eclipse/talon's.

I used a piece of expanded aluminum used for stucco retention to replace the plastic fins on the wheel well splash guard behind the stock intercooler to allow for better airflow. I used pop rivets to hold it into place. It's held up great.

It should provide some protection without restricting airflow much.

Looks like this and can be painted:

Also Google "expanded aluminum mesh" for more pictures. It's also very easy to work with overall.

Best part....it's cheap and can be found at Home Depot! The other car parts store. :D

If you like a chrome look -- I have used the plastic diffuser panel from a drop ceiling light fixtures to fill these voids. Also available at Home Depot. Since its relatively tough plastic you get some level of protection ( no -not as good as expanded metal ) but it cuts easily to fit.

As for how to attach it. Im thinking home made brackets... clamping the mesh between the bracket and a 2nd plate of metal bolted to the bracket. Just an idea, so your not attaching it to the bumper cover. Duno how much room you have to work with etc.

For christ sakes man, please change that avatar! It's like staring at the sun during a eclipse. No matter how much it burns your eyes you can't help but stare.
