Ok so I got an 8ga Stinger install kit for my amp at best buy. It came with an in line fuse hlder that looks like this :

Now how the F do you mount this thing to the firewall? There are screw holes on either side of the holder but they are completely blocked by the threads that hold the end caps on...? Has anyone ever installed one of these?

I wouldn't mount it on the firewall...

honestly theres no real need to mount it if its out of sight in the trunk or something.. but if you must mount it, mount it somewhere accessible. Ive mounted them on the back of the rear seat so you could flip the seat down and unhook it and that worked well.

ALWAYS mount the fuse as close to the battery as possible.

Do you really want to melt 15 ft of wire before it gets to the fuse next to the amp? Thats a good way to catch your carpet on fire.

Ive had to fix WAY to many fire damaged cars from idiots putting the fuse 10+ feet from the battery. Theres a reason that every fuse holder you buy, comes with instructions that says to mount within 12inchs of the battery. Hell, thats why most already come with a 10inch piece of wire hanging out of the fuse, so you put it by the battery. lol

But of course, ive seen as dumb as, a kid put the GROUND wire from the amp into a bag of potting soil, since it said it needed to be grounded. Talk about some funny shit.

Before you ask a buddy, ask somebody whos MECP certified, please.
