I actually wasnt able to take it. I ordered a v-band clamp from extremepsi on May 30th and it still never came. I had problems with my DSMlink shit. As everytime i tried to open RPM, fuel map, whatever, it would give me a IO Failed : Timed Out Error. After about a month of trying 3 different USB Cables, 3 different laptops and OS Systems, i said fuck it. I went to the Shootout to spectate. I got the car running well b4 the Shootout because i was getting impatient. My only choice was on the stock ECU, stock 450s and with the exhaust hanging slightly off so it didnt sound worth a fuck. I just got back Monday night from Ohio and after talking to some people down there i cancelled my EXtremepsi order and ordered a clamp from ATPturbo.com. It should be here by the end of the week they said. All fluids are in the car and when the clamp comes in, if it fits, ill crank it again. Here is a video of the first startup of the built motor.

I was bummed, but oh well, theres always next year. I would of liked to of had a built tranny anyway. This way ill have plenty of time to save up and get one and not fear launching the car the way it should be. As i progress ill update this thread.
Looks like a really nice build. Sucks to hear about all the stuff that kept you from getting the car done.

Wow, just want to say your my hero man!! I am also looking to get my GS-T into the tens, but It's going to be a long time:( . I hear people saying on here that a 50 trim will do this? Even on FWD?

If so that's crazy, as that is the turbo I was wanting to upgrade to. Here is a list of what I will be running, so maybe someone can point me in the right direction.
Its a 98 Gs-T, built 6bolt. Eagle/Wiseco 020over, ACL race bearings, all ARP's, BSE. I'm also going to be getting a built 1g head hopefully, Crower internals( you know what they are). Single springs with 280/280 cams, not ported. Now with the 50 trim, supporting mods and DSMlink, are 10's going to
be in my reach?

Also P.S. sorry if I jacked the thread, but the question is kinda for the OP.

Who knows man, ever car is different. A 50trim will get you 10s if you can put the power its capable of producing down, there is no doubt about that. But the problem is putting it down, its gonna hit extremely hard. Heres an example.

Both were done on low reading mustang dynos, so the numbers on these cars dont mean shit, trust me, they pull strong.

Car 1 - 04 SRT-4, factory LSD, 50trim, supporting mods, 20psi, 330whp 330wtq (on 20psi). On the factory 205 series tires and factory wheels, when tuning the car would spin 4th gear. They couldnt even tune the car without drag radials b/c it was spinning up top of 4th so they couldnt get an accurate read.

Car 2 - 03 SRT-4, NON LSD from the factory, 6152 non BB, supporting mods, 20psi, 323whp (on 15psi), low 300wtq, factory 205 series tires and wheels also. Now on 20psi this car is probably making in the 370whp range. The car wouldnt spin second gear no matter what RPM you kicked it at. Brake boosting was the only way to get it to spin 2nd. The tires on this car (Car 2) were bald also and had OVER 20k miles on them.

I personally would of gone bigger but theres no point in buying more shit b4 you try what you have first.....IMO. Give it a shot, might be easier then u think. Although i think its gonna be difficult.

You're gonna spin no matter what size turbo. Coltboostin on Tuners had a 42 on his Colt and would spin halfway down the track. I believe the stiffer the rear suspension/wheelie bar, a lsd, axles and slicks and probably a dual boost controller will be the only way not too spin. That is gonna be my setup when I get back. Hopefully that helps you.
Yea ive talked to JP a tiny bit on the DSMlink forum. Ive seen the video of the pass, 1st and 2nd are a waste. In 3rd you can hear the tires let go up top, but not to bad IMO. His car is also about 300-400lbs lighter then mine which may make a difference. Not sure what A/R he runs tho. His car is making quite a bit more power then i plan to run as well. 600-650whp is all i care for ATM as i dont feel like pushing my internals farther. JP's was making a little over 700whp in his 10.49 @ 149 pass, id be happy with just a 10.999 lol.

Yeah it was. I pmed Kiggly on Tuners (but I think he thinks I am just a noob) about wheelie bars and suspension on his car. If he is too high and mighty of a guy to give me a few pointers I will make my own and go as stiff as I can with the springs. The only thing is if I want to make the bar, handcrankable, hydraulic, or electric. I think hydraulic is the only way to go so the pressure will keep the bar down and stiff enough where the suspension wouldnt move and the front wheels wont come up.

What type of suspension setup did JP have on his car. I also know that his car was a stock transmission car, but was he running an an aftermarket differential?

I think all drivetrain was stock considering $5500 for the whole build including car. I dont know about his suspension but he would be better to talk to than Kiggly. Me and JP have talked since I got my car years ago and he has been always a good guy.
