Did you buy that car from someone in Texas? If so, I may have spent some time stripping sound deadening out of the inside firewall. If it is in fact the car that I think it is, it'll be good to see it get finished and down the track.

I didn't catch the boost gauge, unless it was in the gauge cluster...

You better catch up, TSP just hit 700whp with their 1g GT42r setup and I have heard that one of the AMS 1g's getting the same GT42r treatment and should see 800+whp and mid 9's...

Yes, it is extremely nice and the shell did come from Jason in Texas. I believe that AMS is shooting for mid 8's this year and so are we. Should be interesting.

 

Getting all the sound deadening out was a PITA, and fairly time consuming. Jason stripped the shell down, and pressure washed the thing till it was sparkling. The roll cage and tubular front control arms are gorgeous. Hell the engine bay, motor mounts and crossmembers looked better than new after he was done with it. He was pretty anal retentive, and refused to cut any corners when it came to prepping the car. It shows in the final result.

Good to see that someone has picked up the project and is dedicated to making the car live again. I still wonder to this day, why he chose a pristine 94 AWD for a race car though.

On a side note: The seats that came out of that car originally are now in my 92 FWD.

Yes he seems very anal. I just bought the shell though and there is a ton of stuff that has to be done. I bought another eclipse for misc. parts.
