when i first bought my gst, on the way home this hose became loose and i lost all my power and at first i thought i was out of gas or something. I want to know if its replaceable maybe with a silicone hose? ive been searching the net for it but dont know the name or where to get an aftermarket replacement. thanks.

Which one??? The big one with the mesh? Thats the intake hose...
Little one on the bottome is the vacuum hose for the BOV, goes to the intake mani...

Also, looks like your missing your CAS. Thats not good...

Your upper intercooler pipe? Did your car make a funny whoosh sound and loose all power at like 2500rpm when it fell off? They make metal ones. Search for Dave Brode on the web, he sells good pipes cheap.

Wrong. That would be the intercooler pipe.

95-96 DSMs had the CAS on the cam side.

exactly what happened. So metal piping is the best for this? also what is CAS?

controls your engine's timing....your missing it on the intake side of the valve cover all the way on the left....where there is a hole in your valve cover....

On 95-96 it is located under the cam gear on the opposite side of the engine as gsx-lex already stated.

Enough with The misinformation! He is not MISSING a CAS! It is on the cam side. If he were missing a CAS, his car would not run.
