Ok well any of you who saw my last post know's I had a tough time gettin my AN fittings to go on. Well I got all that straightened out and I put the fuel line on today. I go to start the car and nothing. All accessory's are working in the car and the battery was charged. I did get it started but had to pop start it. That worked and got it running. After i drove it home and shut it off, I went to start it again to see if it would start up. It didnt Now my thoughts are that the starter went bad. But what gets me is that the day i before i did my fuel lines, the car started fine. Any thoughts or similiar experiances would be appreciated.

When my starter went, it was a period of a couple days. Somtimes I would jump in and start it like nothing, no big deal. Then next time, nothing. I would let it sit and try again, somtimes it would start and others not.
So long story short, it sat behind my apartment for about a month, somtimes it would start, and confuse me, and other times it wouldn't untill one day it wouldn't do anything. So, I finally sucked it up, changed the starter and everything has been fine since.
Everything would work in my car, just wouldn't start. I would check all of your conections under the hood. Make sure your battery terminals are clean, check your body ground, check your wires to the starter, then change your starter. You could try changing the battery too, DSM's are known to eat batteries

Replace your starter, those are signs of a bad starter and this also happened to me exactly one day my car started perfectly no signs of anything being wrong, the next day i started the car drove it then when i went to start it again all i could do was pop start it. I then replaced my starter and all was fixed.

Same hear, worked fine on the way home from work, went to friends house, hung out, went to leave his house car wouldnt start = starter replaced at 2 in the morn. Everything been fine since then.
im having the same exact issues. if i hook my car to jumper it will start. and start after that until it sits for a while. im glad i saw this i figured it was the starter. just bought the damn car 2 weeks ago.. lol where is the starter and how easy is it to change. ( sorry for the thread jacking..) thanks

if it starts after charging the battery than it probably isn't the starter

Check connections real well. Sounds like you could have a loose wire and you are moving it when messing with the fuel lines.

Seems really starter related to me, but I'm a DSM noob, ha ha.
To the other guy saying that when you hook up batt charger, and it starts, that on the other hand is not a starter problem, thats a battery problem.
Oh and changing out the starter, if you don't have big ole arms it's pretty easy, two bolts and it comes right off. Located under the TB, kinda hard to maneuver it out from in between the heater hoses and around all the other badly placed DSM stuff, but it's a simple change, Takes about 20-30 mins.
Any other Q's ?

Put a multi-meter on the starter wires and try to start it, make sure the voltage doesn't drop significantly (not less than 10 volts) when you try to use the starter. If it does you could have a bad connection on your battery or a bad cell in the battery. If that checks out then put a test light on the smaller gauge wire on the starter and turn the key to the "start" position and make sure the test light lights. If it does then you know its the starter.
