Well I just got off the phone with David Hall at Extreme Turbo, tat guy is so smart with DSM's and he just helped me set my wastegate to lower boost pressure.

Turns out about HALF of his customers vent into the atmosphere and have no problems, even under high boost. He also says that since the engine is (while Racing) is spinning so fast that even though more fuel is intoduced it pretty much flows out just as fast and comes out in a puff of black smoke. YES you do run rich for a second but it isn't as BAD as you guys make it out, you make it seem that the engine will explode if you do this, not the case, it really isn't that big of a deal IF you do it right, which I did.
Ok, so what if you call another vendor right now and they say the exact opposite (what we've been saying all along)? Then who will you believe?

Also, I didn't think Honda's used MAS's.

Hondas DON'T use MAF's. They use a system similar to the VPC. The hond doesnt come turbocharged. It doesnt expect blown off air to be there. And the blow off valve is before the manifold pressure sensor or whatever they use. So it doesnt matter. The can run with no intake pipe attached. Who ever told you they use an external MAS is an idiot.

GOD DAMIT!!!!!

Did you guys read above? I am getting that New pipe today, it is comming, I am going to vent back into the intake, you guys won, I changed my turbo install plans and now will vent back into the intake. No need to argue anymore, done, finished.

I Test fitted the resirculation kit And I don't know how it is going to fit looks like a bitch to do right, I hope it works. Anyways I have to figure out How I am going to get that Pipe in, it looks like I will have to cut that bitch by an inch or so.

Either way I will TRY venting back into the intake, I atleast need better gas milage, right?

ok quick question. I might be wrong in saying this but i thought i read/heard some where that when you let off the throttle on our dsms fuel is cut. If this fact were true wouldnt the rich condition become non existent? my 2 cents.

Holy shit, I have seen this dumb topic 1000 times. Your mas meters 10cu ft of air. You dump 5cu ft of air out your ricey bov. When you get back on it, your ecu is going to add the proper fuel for 10cu ft of air, meaning a rich condition. I hate posting and I like to read, but this bov shit just pisses me off.

Not to act like I know what I am talking about but I have vented my Greddy type-s to the atmosphere and never seen any change in my idle or anything actually it seem to help my boost at first but I believe I read a minute ago where someone was asking if you could vent you bov if you use a safc controller. And i am running one from apexi so maybe that makes a diffrence in venting.

:(

This topic has been discussed to death and it has been discussed in really good detail in this particular thread. There are a few items that will allow for you to vent such as VPC, MAF-T, and GUNIT's favorite, EIDS.
95greddygsx, no, that doesn't make a difference. You didn't see any changes so I have to assume you're not logging. By the way, I see you're new here. Welcome to DSMtalk.
