It took 5min to install, great upgrade! turbo spools noticably faster, power is also noticably increased (8hp?) The best part is the sound! (aside from the performance gains. You can hear the turbo spool! then when you release the geas the blow off valve sounds nice and crisp even on my stock bov. Fit was perfect. The mas adapter is made out of one peice of molded aluminum with a quite large opening that has walls that angle in so as to direct airflow into the honeycombs. The filter is a ram air type k&n style with a chrome open filter element top with a 4.5 in diameter opening and clamp. BUY THE KIT! A universal 3in filter wont work on the adapter! Looks great sounds great, perrforms great and was less than $50 shipped! Their indiglos are cheap and work well also.

I've had mine for about a month or so. Works fine, looks good, and it's cheap! I was a little wary about the filter, since you can bascially hold it up to light and see through it..... Anyway, I sprayed the filter with K&N filter oil before putting it on. Also, I can always get another filter with a 4.5" diameter opening if I wanted to.

I also got one of their front strut tower braces. Cheapest I've seen anywhere, and they look just like the name brand ones I've seen on other people's cars. Only I did't spend as much as they did.

I'm always looking for deals, like most of you I'm on a tight budget. The products that they have for the eclipse's are really inexpensive. I bought the indiglos for $20 dollars cheaper than they go for on ebay (I paid $50 shipped) and was pleased with them. So when I noticed that their turbo intakes are so cheap I said what the hell and saved myself a hundred or so. I figured I'd post it and save the rest of us some money too.

Anybody got a part number. Might just be my lack of sleep, but uhh... I don't see an intake for the "Turbo model."

Unless you guys are talking about this one.

Well, I got mine and seemed to make quite noticeable differences. The sound when the turbo spools is very noticeable, as well as the BOV being much louder.

Performance wise, I've seemed to gain a few tenths in the 1/4 mile. Two trips ago, my best time was 14.64, and a bunch of 14.7's... this time around, my first run was 14.6, then a 14.48 and 14.58. I'm quite satisfied for my $48.60. :D

damn. that sucks because i do have a passage down the middle BUT it is not a filter passage it is all solid .

ACCORDING TO INTENSE MOTORSPORTS:
This is the NEW universal intake and it makes no difference if it had a filter passage down the middle.

I said to myself that has got to be some BS because, correct me if i'm wrong, but air does have a better chance of getting inside a 360 degree intake with a ram air section rather than than just a 360 degree intake, follow me? And then i just told them, umm yeah ok whatever (I'm never ordering from them again very bad experience).

anyways back to work. Thanks guys!

a filter with a cone in the middle helps direct air towards the throat of the MAS. However the cone should be very pointy and deep to be useful.

this is still an improvement over a flat top filter. Who knows if the cone is filtered there may be extra turbulence.

No need to loose sleep over this.

Well i just had to chime in with my two cents worth,
If you dont have an Open Element Air filter yet buy this one. Matter of fact if you dont have a strut bar or indiglos either, go ahead and get those at the same time. I got the filter/adapter, strut bar and indiglo's for less than $140 shipped. I would say i saved my self at least a couple hundred bucks. BTW what everybody else posted is so true......Off to install more parts.
Thanx for the space

I brought my filter, front strut tower bar and rear tower bar for them. All for around a $100, I have had mine since Dec. They all are working great! Now just got to get this car running right.

Front Strut Tower Bar

To the people with the procarparts strut tower bars: how's the build quality and performance? I've heard that some of the cheaper bars have flimsy flange thingies where they attach to the strut towers. Does the bar seem heavy duty enough? How's the fit? Any install problems?
