Alright ladies and gents; trying to make sure I order the proper ARP head gasket studs and I keep getting conflicting sizes from different sources. Need some experienced dsmers that know for sure to straighten me out. Anyway as I understand it 6 bolt engines are supposed to use the 12mm x 1.25 bolts and the 7 bolt engines are supposed to use the 11mm x 1.25 correct??? Now in the ARP catalogs they say up to 94 use the 12mm x 1.25 and 95 up use 11mm x 1.25. I have a 93 Nonturbo block 2.0 4g63 and I allways had thought it was a seven bolt engine. If I remember right it had seven bolts on the flywheel and the oil pan indent on the side but I cant verify for sure becuase the car is at my dads shop right now. Now what bolts should I order? Do I go with the ARP catalog and get 12mm x 1.25 or go with the theory that it should have the 7 bolt 11mm x 1.25 bolts wich ARP says are for the second gens??? ANyone know for sure? Please dont respond if your not sure I really dont want to have to order bolts twice over if they arent right the first time. Thanks all.

Also I just found out they sell undercut studs as well. In the brochure on their websight it says that these are only undercut on the shorter ones and are supposed to make them torque more equally across the board wich is supposed to further prevent head gasket failure. What do you guys think? Anyone use these undercut studs???

Alright I need to rephrase this question. What size ARP head bolts did those of you with '93 seven bolt 4g63 engines use? 12mm or 11mm studs? Did you just purchase the 11mm studs that ARP says are for second gen? I still havent gotton this question nailed down, I even called ARP direct in Cali and they dont have that specific of a breakdown so now Im looking to call upon the experience of others. Thanks.

Greenstreak rules!! I thought I was going crazy. All the venders list 89-92.5 then 94 and up, they all forgot about the '93 engine!!!!! Thanks I'll order those up so I can get started on that project right after I finish the bathroom and baby room for the wife, blah. Not to question you, but your 100% sure right??

Hey I just recieved a response from Ongreenperformance.com they said basically it goes by what bolt engine you have 6 or 7 not generation. So that makes a lot more sense now! Thanks.
