Does anyone have an idea what the limitations of the SAFC (1,2, or Neo) tuners are in terms of 1/4 mile times . Anyone sub 11's? Also wondering if there is a limit to the injector size worth running on an SAFC. I stumbled on another one of those offers i can't refuse.

People have definitely gotten in to the 11's, cant give you any proof but I know its possible.

I know that an afc with 660cc injectors or larger gets harder and harder to tune even with a chip. Again I don't know from experience, "this is what I've read." I didn't run bigger than 550's with my afc.

I'm sure there's some people out there that have tried running bigger injectors that can give you more detail.

You cannot control injectors over approx. 660cc at idle. As far as the fastest AFC tuned car....I have no idea.
Not true. the above car i posted is running Denso 720s with zero idle issues. I do believe the actual limit for SAFCs is 800cc before youll have idle problems.

Do chips/safc's count? OP never specified. If so then you can go as big as you want with the chip then fine tune with an SAFC/maf-T.

The accepted limit around here for the SAFC is 660s, it still is and has been for years. Above 660s you need to start modyfing your global settings which the SAFC cannot do.

matt from dynamic racing is running 720's with his safc2. his goal is to hit 8's with that thing lol

Wife ran a 7.9 1/8 mile in her Lancer Evolution 3 with just an SAFC, fuel pump, 750 cc injectors, keydiver chip, and boost controller set at 18 psi. Not too bad I don't think.

To answer your question

By itself the SAFC will find its limits around 680s, most wont go over 660s.

BUT

If used along with either a Chip, or Maft-T or both (devicees which can automatically compensate for injector size) the SAFC then has no limit to its working range.

Because of this there are many 11/10/9s Dizzums alone not to mention countless other car types who have gone fast with an SAFC.

I loved mine. I actually sold my DSMLink and went back because at the end of the day once I mastered tuning with them my tune was never much better using the Link. I feel go full standalone or don't waste your time with the midle man.

Your best hit for the buck however would be DSMap/TunerPro which can do EVERYTHING DSMLink can do as well as a great amount of what you can do with EMS for a few hundred bucks,
