just run a wire srtaight from the battery but be sure to ground it then mount it where the change spot is next to the shifter.... works good for me :)
A two prong toggle switch does not use a ground. You are thinking of the illuminated switches.

How does one ground the fan? <3 my questions huh?

This should get the toggle switch to work>?

..take the relay that runs the fans out of the relay box, which the box is next to the battery. Put a jumper wire across the socket holes that are across from each other (the ones that are away from you). Thus, when the key goes on, both fans start to spin .... easy temp fix.

OR ... while you're at a light, push in the A/C button to first push, then turn on the fan switch to LOW .. both fans will also spin then ... (or, you can leave the A/C button in and fan switch on all the time like this if you don't want to do the jumper method above..)

Hey you probably figured this out by now. but it looks to me like you wired your fan into your driver side stock fan wiring. (the smaller of the 2) Thats what the funtion of that fan is for. Stock that fan only comes on when the ac is turned on. If you wired it to the fan on the passenger side (larger of the 2) it should have worked fine.
