Shift times

I suspect there is a thread on this but can't find one by simple searches, so I thought I'd make a new thread. Was looking at a couple of logs I made while doing launches and started to wonder about what sort of time constitutes a quick shift. In my last launch I was getting shift times of 0.4s which I suspect is not great, but would be interested to know how long other people spend when shifting.

Can your loggers read faster than 1/3 second? I have plenty of logs showing only one frame with the throttle closed, which is about 1/3 sec.

Pocketlogger can log 50 times a seconid. Of course it depends on how many parameters you're logging but it can easily do better than the 3 times a second that you seem to be getting.

What logger are you using?
Pocketlogger :)
I never really did a log just to check shift times, I'm always logging over 10 items.

I run an aem and have logged shift times i believe right about 0.3 secs that's w/ the NLTS set-up so i'm guessing that is the time frame for the clutch switch to go on/off .

Seems to work as shifts times never changed and boost stayed w/in 2si of peak boost :D

Start with the slider after your shift, then move the slider to the left until you get to the point where the throttle isn't 100% (or WOT), then go the next step to the right where its WOT. Take this time, then move the slider to the left again till you get to the last point your still at WOT & subtract this from the first number. I see .4-.5 depending on which gear, that would be without NLTS.
