I've got an amp that when bridged is 300W at 8ohms. The sub(just one) is rated at 125-300W at 4ohms. Will one cause problems with the other?

what kind of cheap ass amp will only do 8ohms bridged?
the sub will probably work fine at low volumes, but when you turn it up that amp is gonna get wicked hot and cook itself.

Old is right, that is an 80's amp 
I did not find that exact model but some Coustic amps from that time was good into 4 or 8 ohms bridged.
I agree, the amp could run hot so ventilate it well. The wattage levels should be fine.
