Has anyone had any luck with welding. its the lower front ear that connects the trans to the block. It broke off in a rectangular shape so there is area to weld. Has anyone else had this problem. Its a 1G fwd

mine was broken off as well, welding cast is a bit of a PITA, works best if you heat up both parts first.

i didnt even attempt that, i modified my engine mount like this

no drama's at all, notice i also braced inside the mount as well.

I broke my front ear off like 4-5 years ago and had it welded back on without a problem. I had a guy who was a great welder though.

I just got another block with the tab broke off but more than half the threads are still there, its still a semi circle, you can still thread a bolt in there.

Would there be any issues that you can forsee with that?
