I am attempting to get the car to be 'turn key' start on my 95 gsx. As of right now when you crank via turning the key nothing happens. Although i have bypassed it and to check the starter i ran the signal wire for the starter straight to the battery, and it started right up.
-I checked all the fuses.
-there used to be an alarm in the car but there are no broken wires or open connections.

its really annoying having to pop the hood to start the car...worst case scenario i will wire a starter switch.

anyone have any ideas on what this could be? some kind of relay maybe? or anything?

Possibly a bad/defective neutral safey switch? If you haven't already tried these: If the car is an auto, try putting it in neutral and try it then back to park and try it again, if it is a manual, unplug the connector for the clutch pedal switch.

Did you buy the car like this?
Did you uninstall the alarm, i don't get how this happened.

Also, the alarm probably engaged the started interput relay and then like the alarm lost power and the relay is stuck without any power becuae you don't have an alarm anymore??? You'll have to pull out the lower dash panel and check your ignition wires.

Will the car enter the acc. mode, or the on mode? If it will, then chances are it is the starter interupt relay. Just get under the dash and follow your ignition wires.

I did buy the car like this. The problem has been there before i removed the alarm, but i did remove it myself. the car will go in acc and it will go in the on position but wont crank.

say the wiring looks fine under the dash (i still have too look, its raining bad outside). do i replace the starter interupt relay or is there a way to electrically disengage it? i will go look at the frist chance of sun i see.

It's more than likely your ignition switch. I have the same problem. I'm going to install push button start on mine, but I also have remote start and that starts up fine every single time. That's why I think it's the ignition switch.
