I can answer this better than Jake.

I was allowed to say this first because I was the first person to test this grind late last summer. I expect FP will eventually post the specs on their website. Originally, the FP11 exhaust cam did not have a name. We tossed around names like Camzilla and I was partial to calling it Robunda. In the end though, FP11 became the name. It is more than just one step up from the FP5R's, which is why something like "FP6R" was not a consideration.

This "mismatched" cam combo exists because it worked, very well, in my car on the dyno and at the track. I went from the FP5R matched set to the FP5R intake and FP11 exhaust and the car lost idle quality and torque below ~3500rpm, but spooled better from 3.2k up and made more power everywhere.

Thanks Kevin for getting in here and posting about the cams as you would know the most about them as you WERE the 1st to test them. After your success with them I was very interested in them.:D

Jake, your half man..half amazing, Car looks incredible!!!

I would disagree even though Brents car is crazy, Jakes car is still something that resembles the factory effort and its in a different league.
There is nothing to disagree about, you simply didn't comprehend the post.

I was referring to when Jake said his car sounded just like Brents. This takes nothing away from just how badass Jakes car is what so ever. Between him Bushcur and Kig and most of all Shep, there are lots of examples of how badass these cars (1gs in particular) can be on the track.

they all remain inspirations for me and their the very people who kept me from being satisfied with a 10s or a 9s setup and just going balls out with the one I'm working on now. Big ups to them. :evillaugh:

On a side note.. Are these available to the public? And what changes did you have to make to your valve train to support a cam that sounds so ridiculous.?

I can't wait to see this in MD during BOTI.

^^ok guys, enough already, lets not make this into a pissing contest, this thread has been going very well, lets not destroy it please.

I just sat here and read all 22 pages of this thread and interestingly did not find anything on your fuel system or your brake system. I know it sounds trivial but just curious as to what you are running. Also you don't by chance have some pics of your fuel cell install do you I am also in the middle of getting my 92 all black drag car going and my cell has me stumped. Not to jack your thread but here is a pic of my car, motor on the stand and still figuring out what turbo to run was thinking t-67 till I read your post on it now I am not so sure what turbo to go with for sure.:dunno: thanks for any info you can give me.

again with the questions,.. I feel like Im bugging you too much, but if you keep answering them Im gonna keep asking them, LOL

this question Im assuming you can't answer, but here it goes. The Evo fp5R cams have been released, and being that these are very very similar motors, would it be safe to assume the grinds are very close?

question you might be able to answer: Is there an FP11 intake cam to go with that exhaust cam, and if so, was it tested and found to be a worse set up than the FP5R/FP11?

Last question, are you doing anything, or has fp thought about trying anything, to increase our max lift beyond .5 inches?

As much as I like what Im hearing, its rather unfortunate that the public is unable to buy these cams for their own personal set ups. I feel like if these cams are so much better than the FP3x's there really will be a gap between the two for people with "smaller" turbos such as the gt35r/gt40rs.

The reason I asked the FP11 exh cam specs to be not disclosed is to prevent time-wasting phone calls and messages from the masses. Its big. Camzilla.
It will not work for 99.5% of you. Race ONLY. Will not pass emissions. Factory ECU's need not apply. Extra care must be used in engine assembly, clearance is tight.

Nobody said they were 'special', they are in stock for all platforms, EVO8-9 and DSM.

The 4R is .440/.425 lift and 220ish@.050"
The 5R is .475/.450 lift and 230ish@.050"
There are some slight differences between DSM and EVO specs.
.475 lift is about all the factory valvetrain geometry is capable of without going thru a bunch of trouble. Making cams for special geometry isn't a smart move for us.
