My EGT probe is tapped into the exhaust manifold. But, the gauge was stolen, so I have no idea what kind of temps. I have. Can I order just a gauge from Gready?

1650 is a little high.I'd go 1600F or 900C.It also depends on where your egt probe is located.
My EGT is in the mail right now; hopefully I get it today. I realize the best place to put the probe is in the #4 runner. Would it make much of a difference to put it by the 02 sensor; this way I don't have to cut a hole in the heat shield.

BTW, what does everyone think of the 2.5mm plug wires I have? Should I change them to 8.5mm?

I thought it was the #1 runner or the farthest on the left (closest to the driver side). By the O2 housing will be cooler and you won't really be able to compare your readings with anyone elses (those who mount it in the manifold).

Yeah that's what I meant. The runner furthest away from the fuel rail. The one that runs the leanest. I was just figuring that it'd be alot easier to mount it by the 02 sensor.

Yeah,

BTW- I'm gonna buy the Apexi AFC next week. Where should I buy it? Cheap$?

RRE has the S-AFC cheap and they will help you tune it if you buy from them. I think it is $320. You might be able to find it for$300 somewhere else, but RRE is very reputable and ship promptly. I would pay the extra $20 for peace of mind. I have no affiliation with them other than being a satisfied customer.

I don't think you should be considering a 20g yet. You have a big enough turbo and you should try to get the entire system working right before you try to up your boost even more. The Webcams would be the next best thing after the AFC. After you are used to that power then thing about the 20G. The nice thing about 20G's is that they are starting to be sold cheap used or you can upgrade your 16G to a 20g.

It is nice that you are actually checking up on your thread.

As for the plug wires, your call, but I went with Magnecore and have had no problems.

firepower,

Thanks for the advice. I think I'm gonna get the webcams after the AFC. My top end seems dead over 6k rpm, so I thought the webcams would be a good solution (what do you think). But, I just don't want to go dumping $$$$ in if there is no significant gain. So, my next question is wich will be more efective a 20G or the webcams???

SlowRide...
They don't make 2.5mm plug wires... at least, not for cars. Maybe RC racers (remote control).. but not for real cars. If you had 2.5mm cars, your car wouldn't run.. or if it did manage to run, it would run like complete sh!t. You most likely have the 8.5mm wires.
