Okay, so ever since i got my car about 4 month ago the shifting's been really wierd when i start it up 1st thing in the morning it shifts amazing nice and smooth but as the day goes on i have troubles getting the car into 1st sometimes and 3rd even though the clutch is all the way to the floor.
Any ideas what this could be? or is it normal and i'm crazy?

Trouble shooting shifting problems are usually all the same, first try fluids, both transmission and clutch, then go into clutch engagement. Look at master/slave cylinders, and look at possibly a new clutch. If all else fails, you're probably in need of a rebuild. So many of these cars are on their "last leg" as far as transmissions go, I wouldn't be surprised if it just needs a good solid rebuild. But search around you'll find dozens of similar threads.

Thanks, but it was rebuilt about a year ago and it only has about 30000km on it since. Also the clutch fork is extended all the way so i can't make it any longer, and bleeding the clutch helped abit but after driving for a while it still did the same thing. :wall:

Sounds like a too-thin-of-fluid problem to me. In the morning the fluid has sat overnight and has thickened while it cools. Day goes on, fluid gets hot and thins to the point of rough shifting. What kind of fluid is in there?

If I look at the clutch fork will i be able to tell that it's bent? and i don't believe that it was changed during the rebuilt
It's really hard to tell if it's cracked. You can pull the boot of of the tranny and see inside with a flashlight. You might be able to see a stress crack. Mine just fell out in my hand when it snapped.

I agree with the above statement. I would try changing the fluid to something better that what you currently have. I assume they replaced the sincros with the new type and not the ones with the 'special' material that was used in the 1G. There is not much else that would cause you to grind and still get the car in gear. I like to use Royal Purple and I have never has problems. All my DSM's shift like crap in the cold and great when they warm up, so this is something different. Good luck!
