Iam opening this new thread due to lack of reponses. I guess people stop responding if they see a thread with 2 or 3 pages long.
My mods; evo 16g ( 15psi) 91 oct, evo o2 housing and exhaust manifold ( both ported), 255fp rewired, afpr, fic 650's, gm maft, safc, chipped with keydiver stage 3, logger,
3" turbo back, eagle rods, ross 8.5.1 pistons, stock head, balance shaft removed, fmic, gauges , new o2 and knock sensors, ngk bpres7, and others cant remember.
As mentioned on my prevoius thread, i couldnt get rid of knock. I have a digital timing light.
My question, i know it has to be set at 5*btdc. This is how i set it; harness grounded-
my timing light set at zero, set the ignition timing at TDC not 5tdc. No knock. If i set it at 5*btdc, then i have crazy knock.
Did wot runs, timing at the end 18- 19*, but the car wont pull, seems like lack of torque.
So am i setting my timing correctly? I need answer from people who has used digital light before, others your most welcome for your help.
