I needed a new ac compressor on my 94 Tsi and had it changed out last week. Before I brought it into the garage my boost would max out at around 18psi. Right after after I got the car back it was maxing out at around 15psi. I just thought I had to adjust my boost controller and didn't think anything of it. Yesterday all the sudden if I hit around 5psi of boost at any speed the whole car would shake violently and not let up until I let off the gas. As long as I kept the boost below 5psi I could drive the car fine.
Thinking maybe there is a loose hose somewhere?

Does the car now go rich after 5psi?
Do you have a w/b? If not, what are you logging on your front o2 when the car begins to shake violently?

I experienced fuel cut before but this is rediculous. Could be though depending on how bad the leak is maybe? I have an a/f guage and that's looking the same when driving. I'll check that out though, thanks guys.

My spark plug wires were arching a spark. I haven't had them for to long I'll see if I get them replaced under warranty.

What kind of boost controller are you running? On EBCs, if the gain is too high, it could do something like that.

What, cause the plug wires to arc? I don't think so. He said his wires were arcing, I am guessing that is his problem, and not an EBC...

No, just the violent shaking. Before I had my EBC set right, it did something similar. I didn't see that last post. My bad...

I though I would see a pin size hole in the boot with white around it where the arching was happening but I didn't see anything like that. It runs fine now with other wires.
