best way to make sure its done is do it yourself ... its not very hard to take the top motor mount off, then take the pulleys off then take the timing belt cover off to inspect the timing belt yourself ... do NOT do off what a shop tells you ... honestly, thye have NO IDEA what they are doing most of the time ... do you actually think they set up that hydraulic tensioner correctly? I very hightly doubt it. That in itself will cause the belt to slip or fail early. Just take it apart and check it out ... you need ... a metic socket set, a couple of metric open end wrenches 10, 12, 14, and 17 mm, a jack, and a piece of 2x4 to set under your oil pan to jack the motor up on, its really not nearly as hard as it looks, or sounds for that matter. you have to be absolutley SURE the timing is on before you go any farther. good luck, hopefully you don't have to go the lawer way, that would suck, and take forever, and you would still be without a car.
