actually, come to think of it, the mirrors do look different.... i think you're talking about they look like they fold right? that would be consistant with all the other cars they have there in japan (due to their small streets). check out this video.Dsm-N-69n said:Funny, no one said anything about the side mirrors being different. Actually is there any way to get those and the tails from an importer, etc?
For the first year the Eclipse was offered in Japan. Check out RoadRace's rally car. Was purchased from Japan with only 1100 miles on it. I wouldn't say they're JDM spec, probably the same as ours, but they did sell 90-91s in Japan. I've seen pics from a site that had the custom gull wing doors on 1st gen Eclipses and it also featured about 50 other Eclipses and they all were in Japan.Bazza2541 said:Like I said before THERE ARE NO JDM ECLIPSES

well they may not be rhd, but they were made to japanese and eurpean specs with the amber rear turn signals (european/japanese), amber side repeater light (japanese/european), a different front turn signal location where the US fog lights are (japanese), rear fog light (european), amber front sidemarker (later european 1Gs), speedo in kph (canadian, european, japanese).... yada, yada, yada...Bazza2541 said:If you look at the "japanese" photos the cars are all left hand drive, not right hand drive as they should be.
How do I know that there are no JDM Eclipses....because I tried to buy one.
I finally ended up buying a 1st gen in Chicago and importing it.
There are some european spec but they were non-turbos and all were LHD. The JDM spec rear lights are actually Euro spec.
Eclipses were USA only models and that is a direct quote from Mitsubishi Europe in the Netherlands
so you were basically talking about them not being RHD?? i see...Bazza2541 said:I am not arguing about the differences, I just said that there are no JDM Eclipses.
I know this because I tried to buy one.
JDM is hugely popular in Ireland, from Type R Hunduh's to Type RA Scoobys and Skylines we get em all but no Eclipses
