I was telling this guy about my set-up that I plan on running for now, (Ingen Intake, GReddy I/C Pipes and BOV, Apexi Exhaust) and he told me that if I don't get a boost controller I will blow my engine in about a week because of overboosting. Is this true? Of course I will get a "real" boost gauge in the future and boost controller, but since I haven't done the BCS free mod I didn't think that I would have to be worried about overboosting that much, but I don't know. Since I am new to this I am trying to do it right. I have done lots of research and try to follow the advice that I have received from DSM tuner shops such as Road Race Engineering, Buschur Racing, and Extreme Motorsports. In the staged upgrades of each of these shops, intake and exhaust upgrade is the first two upgrades you should do. For the 2G next is upgraded BOV and then boost controller. They also never warn that adding exhaust will make you overboost to the point that you blow the engine. Is this guy full of shit or is he correct. I have already bought this parts and will be putting them on soon, but I won't if I am in danger of blowing the engine. Help me out guys
